Soft top seal

Hi
Anyone got any tips on fitting new front soft top to windscreen frame seal?
Just got a new seal and thought for a change I'd ask for advice before leaping in with both feet

Before you start, check how tight or loose the seal is in the retainer as the seals vary in size and hardness.Usually they either fit OK or are too loose. If too loose youneed to close up the retainer a bit to make it narrower; best done in a vicebefore it is fitted to the hood rail.

Get yourself a 2-inch scraper with a thick blade if possible. Then starting at one end, insert one side (back)of the seal into the groove, and push the other side (front)in with the scraper. Work along until all done. You will need to use a narrower pusher at the ends ie a screwdirver will do. Trim off any excess length.
