If you have ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a race meeting now is your chance to spend the day with myself, Ashley and the 70’s Road sports racing Stag at Silverstone on the 9th of October.
I have two tickets for you and a friend forthe HSCC historic race meeting (http://www.hscc.org.uk) at Silvertsone on the 9th of October. The first PM with the correct answer to the two part question get the tickets, but it’s not that easy, you must be atSilverstone by 6.30am and help prepare the Stag for the scrutineering and the race, then come along to scrutineering and see how they check the Stag over to make sure it meets all the safety requirements, next is practice, you will come with the Stag to the assembly area and help make sure Ashley gets off ok then to the pit wall to take some lap times. After practice we need to check the Stag over for the Race and debrief Ashley to see if any changes need to be made to the Stag. Then you can wonder around and watch some practice or have a look round the paddock. Next comes lunch and then back to the assembly area and the pit wall to watch the race. Then you have the rest of the day to enjoy the racing.
This time it will be a two part question, the first part is below and the second part will be posted here on Friday.
Question:
Ashley’s last race was at Brands Hatch, what position did he finish in qualifying and what was his fastest qualifying lap.
