Have recently joined and the Stag purchased had not turned a wheel for quite some time. The previous owner had fitted an oil pressure gauge as the clock had died, andI agree a pressure gauge is the more valuable.
The installation has a length of capilory tubing coming from the oil gallery then it joins a length ofrubber/plastic tubing turning through 90degrees and passes through the bulkhead. Where it joins another length of capilory which is connected to the back of the gauge. When starting her up for the first time (she fired and ran on the 1st compression) the rubber/plastic pipe failed, causing quite amess.
Is this the standard installation? And if you have one what pipe is used through the bulkhead?
