Hood catches

Up to Page 102 now on the forum learning as much as I can...

When I fold the hold up - should the catches lock over the pin thingy without any intervention - ie should you just push against the resistance then they'll spring over. Mine don't - I have to push the pin into place and then move the catch so it hooks over the pin.

Not sure what they're *supposed* to do, but I have to push the hood sticks up and then move the catches over the pins manually. It works fine like that, so I don't think it can be far wrong

Yep mines the same as Wendy, oh ana i only have one!! think it came out the factory like it, that reminds me i must fit another

Mine also require some manual intervention, probably more the rule rather than exception.

Ideally they should click and lock automatically. There is a spring on the catch to help it to flip and hold into the locked or unlocked position; make sure that works as the springs get distorted or go missing.
