Took the stag for mot today, passed with one advisory (petrol filler cap seal starting to split),I wasn't aware that this was subject to scrutiny on the mot, however when you think about it the consequences of fuel or vapour escaping past the seal could be dire.
I had the mot done at my local council owned testing station, slow and thorough with no BS or advantage to be gained in failing a vehicle, I say slow because my test was booked for 0730,the tester arrived at 0745 and started on my stag at 0810. I had the last mot done there and despite the speed issue I would not take the car to any other mot station, you pay full price but no BS,last year the tester even made a minor adjustment to the headlamp aim to get it spot on
. If your local coucil has an mot testing facility give em a go,I can certainly recommend the Banbury facility. No financial connection,I work in a completely different line of business.
