    Should I or not?

Have been adjusting my doors and they shut really easily now, although its taken a time to get there. I have noticed that on both doors the bottom of the door cards where the black pvc hangs at the bottom, it catches on the furflex when I open the doors.

My question is, do I cut some of this off and does it really do much?

Andrew, the purpose of the pvc skirt at the bottom has recently been discussed. It might appear to be a trivial pice of plastic, but it serves an important function: to deflectwater to the outside of the sill away from the interior. Without it you may see water dripping off the bottom of the cards onto the carpet!

Try pouring water onto the door and see what happens.

If yours catches on the furflex it may be too short

Thanks Chris. I didnt think of them as being too short and maybe thats my answer, I could carefully add a piece to the bottom edge and that way it will go up to the furflex rather than going over the top in places.

Thanks for the advice, will have a look

            Hi Andrew

Rather than try and attach an additional piece to the bottom it would probably be easier to replace the entire "rain curtain".

I did the one on the drivers door last night. I have yet to decide what length to trim it. I want it long enough to be effective but not long enough to be too visible when the door is open.

Sorry Bruce, when I meant bottom edge,I meant the actual door card trim panel in black just below the brushed material.
