Hi Deano calling.I am still searching for an Inca MOD stag.Constantly looking at ebay, thames valley trader, pistonheads the forum etc. There are loads of ads,but it seems to be mostly white and other colours, hardly any in yellow let alone Inca yellow.Which begs me first to ask the question are there any records of how many Stags were built in each colour. Also does the club keep a register of the details of members cars,as the RS owners club did when I was a member there.Secondly would there be any interest in carrying out a sort of survey of members to find out the number of Stags and a few basic details of each that are still in existance.TTFN

Trouble is
INCAS were wiped out by the spaniards a long time ago
so i assume inca yellow refers to thier sun worship or love of gold
buy a white one and then buy a pair of yellow sunglasses
job done

now don't laugh but I have this information albeit 3 years old now and would need updating,I asked the chaps at DVLA how many and what colour were still registered and they did the research and sent me the results through! its a bit basic and groups the greens, blues, reds etc together in groups but it's a guide.gets interesting when you compare the production stats against survival stats,it seems colour dictates whether a car is saved or scrapped.well thats me anorak out of the closet again!!

Dean, don't forget how much you have restricted your choice by, Inca was only made for 1977 of which only 501 home market cars were manual, so if at a rough guess 10% of cars were Inca. then if you want an original car you are looking for 1 of approx 50 made 33 years ago.

well iv'e found the info on stag colours and there's an awful lot of it but in essence the most popular surviving colours in the UK are reds 1131,white 937 and blues 717 and even though manuals and autos were produced for the home market in roughly similar numbers, 30% of manuals are still registered whilst only 16% of autos are. by year of manufacture, 1977 has the highest survival rate with 41% of manuals and 25% of autos still registered (all figures were quoted by DVLA under the freedom of information act 2000) and were correct as at march 2006.
