pinstripe - wow what a difference

Finally got around to fitting the pinstripes on the Stag - only taken me 8 months since purchase of vehicle - can't rush these things!!

I didn't think it would make such a change to the look of the car, it really sets it off and suits the lines and style of the car. Hard to see but my avatar has the car without stripe.

I was very anal about having it perfectly straight....any bets as to how long it will take the doors to sag and it will look crap!!

last one on my driveway - 15kms of dirt, not ideal once you spend hours polishing it and its dusty before i can hit the sealed road.

That looks sweet especially on a light coloured car

It really is amazing how little styling cues set something off to perfection - what a difference it makes to your car. I think the other one on the Stag is the black rear panel - which I plan to introduce onto my car in the near future

It was 2 years before I noticed the stripes on my Stag were upside down

(Not put on by me I hasten to add).

            Bob.

very nice mate,I would consider doing the rear panel black at some point as well as it really suits the brighter triumph colours and gives balance to the bright yellow, mines java green by the way !

No it doesn't bother me and I've no intention of rectifying it - the stripes look just as goodeither way up in my opinion.

Thanks for the comments. Being new to Stags im i've not seen, or taken notice, of the black rear panel people are talking about. I assume you mean the section around numberplate and rear tail lights? Somw pics would be handy if someone has any on file.

Geez Bob, i started to read your reply and i was sure you were going to tell me i had mine upside down as well!. Although, having owned a few BL cars i would not be suprised if some didn't leave the factory with pin stripes upside down - the Friday afternoon special!!

Slowly getting her ready for a large trip interstate for an annual Triumph get together. Oil and coolant change, serviced the auto, new plugs, leads and cap. A real birthday treat. Boody soft top is doing my head in - that rear plunger is not even close to locking in.

Really contemplating the benefits of putting in a spare 3.45 diff i have from my MK1 pi saloon. I'm starting to get used to it, but the auto really makes the engine work at constant 65mph. Due to my location any trip involves many hours at 60 - 70 mph and i have searched threads that say this can be done to lower revs. If i have time i may throw it in and see how it goes. I don't drive like a hoon these days, so i'm hoping the saloon diff will last in the Stag. Thanks, Glen.
