Does anyone know what the model number was of the Radiomoble radio originally fitted to Mk1 Stags circa 1971??? I want to fit one to mine, but if I'm going to get one it might as well be the correct one for the period.
thanks
Roger

Hi Roger,
The Stag didn't come with a radio as standard - which was par for most of the UK motor industry until the Japs showed us how to do it . This was a dealer fit option. Many had 8-track units fitted. So what you are looking for is any period radio unit from the early '70s.

The original radio fitted to mine sometime around the end of '72, early '73 was a Radiomobile model no. 70x. Not sure if this was around in '71 though.
