Fuel Pipe

Quick question, just about to order some new braided hose to replace the tatty stuff between my carbs. Is this internal diameter 8mm only I am at work at the mo so can't go and look.

Thought this would look much tidier with the end finishers etc,

Yes 8mm ID.

Actually I've just bought some of the braided hose and finishers as the existing pipes were lookinga bitperished, but haven't got around to fitting it yet. It's a job for the weekend once I've refitted the inlet manifold and carbs.

They do look very good, but they will mark the cam cover quite badly. I would be interested in any proposed solutions. Martin.

We had some on our car looks good, but beware when we were in Italy and I was removing the viscous coupling because it was bust, I couldsmell petrol quite bad couldn't see anything obvious then pulled the braiding back to find the hose had perished..............What I'm trying to say is if it was normal hose I would have noticed it starting to perish and changed it, but because it was out of sight didn't know what was going on underneath, I think we were pretty lucky not to have had a fire..........Just my view.

I have had one scare already with b*ggered fuel lines and half a tank of petrol!

I am speccing it up to fuel injection standard so it should lastand withstand a carb systems pressure. ...I hope
