Seat Belts

On my stag the seat belts dont seem very long . While driving you feel like its cutting in your neck .Its the same on the passenger side aswell.

Are the seat belts one length or can you get longer ones to make it more comfortable . Or is there another alternative i could use.

Are they inertia reel andare yousaying that they are at their maximum extended length?

If yes to both, then it sounds like a previous owner has fitted belts too short.

I have just had mine re-webbed by FDTS and they can make them as long as you want, give them a call.

there should be plenty of material in these belts and you can take the side plate off the originals and have a look as the chamber should be full of webbing at rest. you will have to unbolt the unit from the car first though. just changed mine for new units as the springs were tired and took ages to wind up even with assistance,bit like me really.

I need to change mine, I have two different sorts and they are both tired. Where's the best place to source completenew items?

I have seen them listed for around £45 a side

thanks guys for the advise. i am not exactly of small build but they are very tight and not very long. i will have to get them sorted. it is very uncomfortable to drive while you are being strangled by your seat belt.

had mine from Tony hart on ebay,easy fit including removing the centre binnacle,bank on £100 including p&p.prices pretty much the same from other suppliers too.
