    Thought for the day

I don't know if anybody has noticed or not but today is:

    10/10/10 - (even for the Americans )

Now, interesting though that might be, there is also something far more profound about it

In binary, 101010 is actually 42 which, as every true hitch hiker out there knows, is the answer to life, the universe and everything :dude:

    It will never come again

    Cheers

    Julian

Julian, are you also know in other circles as "Ford Prefect"

I don't want to spoil it for you, but you do know it was the Mice!

Which brings the subject back to cars - as one of the characters was named "Ford Prefect", and my father owned the more basic model the "Ford Popular" in which I learned to drive. Only 3 forward gears, with no synchro on first gear, no wonder I failed my driving test in it (twice), after which I took my test in a Triumph Herald which was much easier to drive, and in which I sailed through my test at the 3rd attempt.

Ah, but did you take your test on the intergalactic by-pass ?

Took my test in Wigan when their football team were still in the Northern Premier League and used to play the likes of my home town team - Chorley in a local Derby.

Strange you should just make a post when a few minutes ago I made enquiries about a future cruise around the Polynesian Islands combined with a first visit to New Zealand. Are you from the North or South Island by the way and which has the most Stags?

Hello Terry, We live in Morrinsville which is in the North Island. It is approx 2hrs south of Auckland and 20 mins ( 30kms) east of Hamilton in the centre of NZs major Dairying area. As for Stags I would guess most would be in the North Island. When are you coming?

                      Cheers Ian A

                        Ian,
Am currently awaiting a reply from a Travel Agent we regular use about putting together a package that involves a cruise around a number of the Polynesian Islands (Tahiti, Bora Bora, Tonga, Samoa, etc,) coupled with a week or two in New Zealand.
Not specified a date yet but the earliest would be circa January 2011, or maybe the year after.
My wife goes into hospital for a tricky operation within the next couple of weeks, and it depends how long it takes her to get back to normal afterwards.
We did a Caribbean cruise in 2009 and enjoyed it, and said next time we would like to try Polynesia. Have already been to Hawaii twice and want to try somewhere different next.

                          Cheers Ian A
