Using leather dye on leather seats

    Hi

I have just bought a 911 and the leather seats have a bit of wear on the drivers seat and they have lost the deep black colour. Can anybody advise if they know of any good makes, are they easy to use or am I just wasting money in doing this.

    Many thanks in advance.

Only one address you need : GLIPTONE !

They are the name in car seat resto. They do small kits and it is quite easy to do.

Their Leather Cleaner is absolutely amazing too - you won't believe what comes off the steering wheel when you clean it (Yukkhh!)

They have been doing car colours for years and probably have your one off the shelf. If not, they mix to a sample. I had mine mixed that way and the match is unbelievably good.
    The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

      Hi Dave

See this post I made about using Liquid Leather anddye from Gliptone.

      http://stagownersclub.mywowbb.com/forum1/10694.html

Really works and I am very pleased with the results just order their scuff master kit. Or as I did large 250ml bottle of dye and more stocks of their excellent leather conditioner

      Hope this assists

      Cheers

      Glyn

I have leather XJS seats in my stag, they were re dyed (by another forum member) using products from 'woolies' and have given an excellent finish

by the way which 911 have you got?, a 911 is high up on my list as a 50th birthday present to myself (still 7 years away)

Many thanks for all of your responses.

A have bought a 1987 model in guards red that has had a £18,000 widebody Zeemax body conversion a set of genuine porsche alloys costing £3500, had an engine rebuild and included a two figure ageless private plate all for £10K. An absolute bargain.
