Simon,
It really is a shame that you have to sell. I know you don't have a garage and are not necessarily a highly skilled mechanic and mindless vandals have obviously left a very sour taste for you.Maybe when circumstances allow, another time?
I'm no mechanic either and I had a really shi**Y time to start with and I paid over 9 grand for my car. However with help from the Forum, a very steep learning curve and some mods/improvements (pertronics / Weber / Header Tank etc)I now believe I have a car worth the money. It now pulls like a train, is relatively economical and structurally is excellent with good paint. For sheer driving pleasure it's the muts nuts. TR6 was great, bult felt it's age. Stag feels modern in comparison.
At my last home, I only had on street parking. I rented a space at a Farm (dry and ventilated Barn / outbuilding) and I kept my Spit and TR6 there no problems.
Worth thinking about?
