Went to the garage on Saturday to start up the stag and it started popping when the accelorator pedal was pressed to increase the revs. I suspect I may have a sticking valve so does anyone have any suggestions of how to test forand free a sticking valve without taking the heads off? Does Redex work in this case? Many thanks Staghoss.

You could try a cylindercompression test. -

a good old fashioned vacuum gauge connected to the inlet manifold after the carbs will tell you all sorts of maladys
sticking valve will show up as a regular drop in the needle
