Stromberg carb identification

Hello Stag friends,

On my workbench I have a Stromberg, which I cannot attribute to any car.

The metal tag says: "505" and "3654L". So it is a lhs carb. The needle says "B1DH".

As far as I know Stags were equipped with Strombergs with the following numbers: 3289, 3382, 3425, 3428, 3509, 3662 and 3833 - from early to late Stags.

The needles were marked: BIAQ orBIBF.

That does not correspond with the markings on the carb mentioned above.

the Burlen catalogue says:

3654L with a needle BIDH (not1 butI) was used in a TR7 USA 1974 onwards. I did not find the no. 505.

Klaus, Dieter, my uncle lived in Cologne for over 30 years and spoke German perfectly but it took him a lot longer to learn than he had intended because everyone wanted to talk to him in English to practise, so it comes as no surprise to find your command of English is so good ( would you like to teach most of our premier league 'stars' how to speak their own language)

Hi all, thank you very muchfor all the flowers (great that you took the pots off before throwing) .

It encourages me to carry on in order to become an example for a successful language immigrant!!

The problem is not to read or formulate a normal text but to understand and use the daily English--the easy thrown words, a little bit of slang and some abreviations. For example: could you please tell me what LOL stands for (and then I think we better we stopt his conversation).

I told SWMBO about the meaning. She said LOL=LOTS OF LOVE sounds better but that could be misunderstood by the forum members
