    I've only just spotted this thread and I just wanted to say that I've had nothing but good servicefrom Rimmers (& I'm nothing to do with them )

    Having the dubious claim to fameof once being the youngest BL parts manager in the country, I do have some understanding of the challenges and difficulties that they face - especially in the delicate balancing act between quality, price and availability.

    All in all I think they do a pretty damn good job of it and their website and catalogue areexamples to all !

    Without them I reckon our job of keeping Stags on the road would be a lot more difficult.

      I think what would really help Rimmers, is if they had a better description of the parts on their web site, explaining, if any why a part is different than original. You know the sort of thing, "We have stocked this as it is the only thing available, but it differs from the original by..." or "We think this is better than original because..." etc. That way you are managing peoples expectations better and you are less likely to be disappointed when things arrive and aren't quite what you are expecting.

      As far as customer service goes, I have had no issues what so ever and they have sorted out any issues I may of had in an acceptable and timely fashion.

        I had a surprisingly similar issue with a light switch from the Rimmers but, due to their superb after sales service, we found out the problem together, I decided to keep the switch and modify it myself and Rimmers gave me a big discount on the price for my efforts.

        To be honest, I wouldn't have even thought about doing my Stag Restoration without Rimmers being there. Sure, for some of the bits and pieces there may be a better solution, but no-one offers the overwhelming breadth and depth of stock which Rimmers have, and their turnaround times are phenomenally quick too.
