Reconditioned Carbs

I am thinking of having my carbs reconditioned and saw a pair on E Bay from Turner carbs for £295.
Has anyone else used this company and if so would appreciate their views.

Hello,

I think Turner based near Grantham in Lincs is a specialist - about the equivalent to Jens-Peter Adam here in Hamburg/Germany. So you can hardly go wrong.

In the past I did some business with them and was quite happy with it.

he sometimes has engines for sale that are built by howard vessey

reckon these are a safe bet

also talkto paul and he will advise you o condition of carbs

would be interested in yr findings as my carbs are off and maybe good idea to have them re-built

He did a good job for me but I felt the attention to detail wasnt good. there were broken adjuster screws in the carbs when they went away and they came back the same way.
I got a set of spitfire ones done from him and they played up a bit . One of the needles on the SUs kept sticking and it would never tick over properly.

Just my experience.
