Is this an ebay scam

Just scanning ebay for a Bmw aluminium top box and rack for my Bmw R1200GS Adventure. Found 2 advertised with just over a day to run. Thing is both photos are taken in the same location except one photo has been turned on its side. One is supposed to be in Belgium, the other in London. I've sent a message to both asking why the same box is in 2 countries being sold by different sellers but have received no replies, Is there any way to follow this up to warn prospective buyers or am I barking up the wrong tree. I to have had problems recently with ebay sellars. However you can report it through the ebay system. Don't worry if you pick the wrong category from the pick list they will reply. Go to contacts up in the right hand corner of your main screen, and it will send you to contact ebay support, then you'll see a list of frequently asked questions, ignore them and go to other topics and click on rules and reporting.

sometimes people use commercially available pics out of a catalogue or whatever, so the same pic appears several times. Happens a lot for example with watches (which are notoriously difficult to photograph well)


errr...... edit. Just seen your two eBay adverts and it does look fishy. Same text also and one of the guys has 0 feedback. The other's feedabck at 92% isn't brilliant either! (Perhaps BMW R Series owners are just like that . Not at all like K series chaps!:dude

I had the same problem with an Audi A4 wind deflector recently.My winning bid was to a bloke in Essex who had a paypal problem:?, could I send the money elsewhere, feedback was only six, not bl**dy likely

Looked again on ebay to see identical photo and very similar text from someone in Wales, needless to say I didn't bid on that

In the end got one from a trader with huge feedback and a few quid cheaper than my first bid

My car, complete with the full photo set and description was up for sale on ebay a month after I bought it, but in a different location and a much lower price.

This was a very common scam 3 years ago, but like the Nigerian 419 scam it comes back into fashion periodically....

Desadrew, I had a K1200r, great bike but I thought I'd swap It for a PROPER BMW:P I thought you lads over there would be able to appreciate the real thing, Terry

Just had a reply from one of the sellers. He says that they are two separate items but the other one is a friend of his, ' in Belgium ', using his website. Hmm, I think I'll pass on this one. ( the Belgium one has disappeared).
