Christ's Hospital School, Horsham. School uniform is somewhat unique - Elizabethan - consisting of, among other items, a long blue coat. The front is fastened at the front by 6 small and one large gilt embossed buttons. School prefects are identifiable by having 20 (ish) large buttons to fasten the coat. Hence being awarded buttons, and, in case of severe misdemeanour, losing ones buttons. My previous misdemeanour's had precluded consideration for this rank

I was worried that a policy of "no ifs, buts or maybe's" was going to be applied and that didnt prove to be the case.

I put my faith in common sense and human nature and it paid off.
