Breaking myself back into spannering gently. I haven't done any more than top up fluids for 15 years. But a couple of hours in the garage last night and I now have rear seat belts. The previous owner had removed them and although he provided them with the car, they were shot. Is it just me or do the replacements Rimmers sell sound a bit platicky when they plug in?

That's a fair point, and I do tend to shop around before buying.
But I didn't want to take any chances with the kids' safety and overall the belts are good quality. The reels are really solid and smooth, and the engagement feels solid. It's just the housing echoing I think. Maybe they are just louder then I'm used to with fixed sockets. I'm satisfied with the value for money.
