saw them at thorsby Park, one of the guys fitted them there, work a treat and stops the door opening really wide, it leaves plenty to get in and out, even if you are not that nimble, . i was very impressed as it will stop the door catching walls etc. and the wind forcing the door back with a vengance,i have some on order. i did notice though they have to be fitted correctly for maximum performance and they are a tight fit, better that way though as they will not fall out. they are a snug fit. they are after all just push fit so they have to be snug and they dont interfere with the door operation. hope this helps.
I bought and fitted mine at national day. Excellent idea, and so simple. They won't stop someone damaging your car, but they do reduce the chance of damaging another or hitting a wall.

After quite a few scratches when openinig the Stag doors (too wide!) I bought those hinge limiters for under 10.00 quid and it simply works. The Stag doors do not even come close to the bikes parked next to her in our garage.
I fitted a pair several years ago and they work well, was at British Car Day last September here in Ontario and the Stag next to me suddenly opened his passenger door too quickly plus all the way, the result was a dinged rear wheel arch dent and paint damage.I had a concours paint job done 4 years ago and all I got from owner was a mild sorry, later I did suggest to him that he track down and fit a pair of Stag door limiters.
Some may ask why I was parked close enough for that to happen, my answer is that at BCD there are 1400 cars on display, including 38 Stags, and we are parked three feet apart so to me more than enough to both get into and exit the cars separately.
Who is selling them now??
Warm here this AM @ -8C,yesterday was -17C so my Stag is tucked up for the winter and plugged into the battery minder.
I can’t find the leaflet that came with mine when I bought them in 2008, but I’ve taken one out and had a close look at it. It is a rubber extrusion with DN 250 TYTON moulded into it. Looking online it appears to be a section cut from a pipe seal, which explains why they have a natural curve. P13 of the online catalogue linked here seems to be the item: https://www.uspipe.com/upload/produc...INT_lowres.pdf
If anyone has access to these pipe seals and can cut them into 80mm lengths, then they may wish to provide them to members.
These photos are of one of mine. They fit in the hinge with the ‘heel’ towards the wing.
Thanks that's very helpful. I remember using Tyton jointed pipes in the construction industry where I worked. I spoke to a very helpful man at Saitnt Gobain PAM who immediately recognised the ref. number but told me these seals are now "old fashioned" but he said that a builders/plumbers merchant like Wolsley or Burden will probably have one or two tucked away somewhere. I've left a message with Burdens but I fear it is a long shot to try to track one down today. I will advise if I succeed..
