    Is changing the coolant hoses a big job?

    I'm also thinking of changing all the coolant hoses for new ones. I;ve seen them advertised as complete sets.

    again is this a big job and does it involve the removal of the radiator?

    Some are easier than others.The heater ones to the back of the engine are hard. Make sure you get them from SOC. I had another suppliers beginning with R and they were hopeless. Saying that they did offer a full refund, which I have not got round to sending them back.

          Definitely agree - get them from LD parts. - I did. Fit well and they will be good quality from LD. You'll just need to shorten a few of them a little bit.

          Besides, can anyone get anything from SOC these days? :shock:

            Don't get any 'kevlar' reinforced ones, they're absolute cr*p and will burst/split at some stage.

            Do a search for Kevlar...

              Its not too bad a job, I did it in a morning as well as flushing the system out. Got the hoses from Paddocks, from memory the top hose did not seem quite long enough but has been okay. The bottom hose was slightly too long and I had to cut about half an inch off it because the alternator pully was catching on it. Makes a horrible noise! No you do not need to remove the rad as long as you know its not full of crud.
