    Windscreen wiper arm

    Hi all

My Windscreen wiper stalk/switch seems to work opposite to the figures on it...ie...

It is labelled from the top :- 0 1 2

( which one could assume to be :- (0..Off 1..normal 2..fast when moving down through the numbers)

mine works thus ;- 0..fast 1..normal 2.. off..ie fast being the first speed produced when selecting 0.

Could it be there is a juxtaposition ofwires /which colours ? or has someone fited a non Stag stalk/switch ?

The switches, and wiring for the Mk1 and Mk2 are quite different.

The short loom from eachwill fit into the multiplug, an incorrect fitting giving something other than the'correct' effect.

I know that one or other of the switches was not easily available about three years agoso someone may have fitted a non standard switch from another BL vehicle. The Mk2 fitment is quiteexpensive and could encourage this kind of swap.

Does your switch give you an up or down position if pulled towards you or pushed away?( for intermittent on Mk2) Or is it only a flick, sprung, (quick wipe)position, or both, or neither.
