    Its passed its first MOT

    Hi All

My Stag has passed its MOT today. There are a few small jobs that the tester picked up on that need sorting but its come away with the magic test certificate.

Before the test I took it for a 1 mile run to put some petrol in it. I was chuffed to bits when I put it into fourth gear at 30ish. Before today I have only been able to test it in first and reverse on the driveway:?.

So, A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone on here past and present who has supported me throughout my 2 year, 6 month adventure into the world of Stag restoration. Whether it was with techical support, a shoulder to cry on, general vocal support, providing parts, providing physical assistance (Gresley) or a harmless piss take, it's all been greatly appreciated.:dude:

Anyway, here is she is, on a public road under her own power for the first time since 1980. This is also the first time I have been able to take a photograph of her in sunshine as our driveway is always in partial shadow off the house or garage.

Road tax will be in place on 1st December

    Thanks again one and all

    Bruce

Well done Bruce, makes it all worth while. Now you will have to sort out all the jobs that crop up once you have put a few miles on. Hope you have many happy trouble free miles.

Brilliant. I wish I had the patience and dedication to take on a project like that.

          Now ENJOY! :dude:

And here is how she looked on the day I collected her in July 2008. My father is busy putting the loose bits inside her before the long journey from Stansted to Cheshire.

It all seems a long time ago now

                        Hi Jason

Not sure about a pin stripe. I would like to put Stainless sill covers on her but funds will not permit it at the moment:?

I have not totalled up the cost of the resto yet and I am not sure I want to:shock:

And I was thinking how smart it looked with the body coloured sills. Your choice of course. ..
