New winter toy

After several weeks of heaving and straining I have finished my latest project, a 2 door Toledo with a fast road cammed Bosch Kjectronic injected dolomite sprint engine. I had forgotten just what a quick engine this was but I don't think the rear tyres will last long!

The difference in colour is not a photo problem, it is the Mallard paint, it is also green in sunlight:?

Looks really good Neil. Still don't know how you find the time though.

The auto box is still on the bench as I keep finding other issues like holes in the floor ....and it's getting cold!

Next project is a winter rebuild of the Stag, it needs new seat foams and covers, the rear suspension rebushing as it suffers the dreaded Triumph twitch at the rear end since it was converted to manual, and the installation of the rebuilt original engine.

The block and crank are away being machined at the moment, the head rebuild parts are here, sadly the post office managed to break one of the fast road cams that was delivered this week, but Faversham Classics who supplied them are sending me a new pair when they have got my old ones reprofiled. Then it is just a matter of fabricating a new inlet manifold for the injection system. I think it might be a long winter

What sort of bhp wil that be producing now? I am guessing that it won't be masses quicker than a "normal" Dolly Sprint?

Looks fun. That engine bay is literally stuffed full of equipment:shock: If your a farmer how do you find the time to do all this stuff?

Is the Toledo the car your bringing to the New Years Day Meet? If so I look forward to looking at it up close in the flesh.
