Am I missing something? Apart from the fact that the rear badges are facing the wrong way and it is a heck of a lot newer than 1973.........

Looks good.
I see that the sellers, Fleet Cars Direct, describe themselves as:
"an ex-fleet disposal and trade vehicle centre", plus it looks like they've not sold on ebay before, so I presumethat this is a car that is way out of the norm for them, so they just want to get rid of it quickly.
If this is the case, it could be a good buy, but, by the same token, they won't have known where to look for corrosion, engine noisesetc ?
The merc 450SLC is a cheap car too, and you don't see too many tidy Triumph Couriers around either. Nice for someone to signwrite and use for a classic business.

1974 Mk2, ZF Auto, 3.45 Diff, Datsun Driveshafts. Stag owner/maintainer since 1989.
The white one looks a real dog to me pound to a penny there is a few buckets of clag been thrown at that one lately, they cant even be bothered to clean up the over spray off the tyres , too clean on the outside and very shabby on the inside
I had a nose on that site what a strange mix of cars.
The classics seem very reasonably priced too. that old Ford Consul Classic is something I have always fancied owning! No room at the Inn or Sheckles in the purse at the mo though

Oops ! I hadn't spotted those - Ithought theircompany name was fairly specific :?
Can't imagine who would have had a1964BentleySeries III S3 as a fleet car :shock:although I suppose tht the Courier van is a little bit more 'fleet' like

It doesn't look too bad. possibly some signs of corrosion to N/S door bottom, all of the chrome trim missing from the hard top - although that doesn't seem to detract from its looks - and the chrome trim around the windscreen. It would be intersting to see what the respray is hiding though - it is too white for a Triumph colour!

the SLC's are always significantly less that SL's, in that colour combination and a rather unloved engine bay and odd coloured arches i'd be surprised if it made more than 3.5K anywhere.
The courier van is interesting - the tailgate looks good, but not sure what the huuuge plastic bottle is doing in the o/s of the engine bay !
the interior looks to be in good condition and red being rare
Dave
My second stag i bought in 1987 was white with red interior,a 1972 model, this is for sale close to me but cant be mine as the advert sais the PO had it since 1977.
