Control knobs

hi guys how do i get the dash knobs off the choke, heated rear window etc, any ideas, do they come off?

Hi Alan, I think if they are original ones, then underneath each knob, there is a small pin that you push in and they pull off.

thanks Andy, they are original i did look too and i couldnt see anything,i mustmissed the bottom pin, how do you get to them to push them ?

A small nail or something and they just push up on a tiny spring and then at the same time, you pull them off. When you refit them, they just push on and secure themselves.

got it now lol thanks Andy just fitted a walnut dash but i couldnt do the centre section as i didnt know how to get them off.

Some choke knobs don't have that release pin - If not then you need to remove both the choke cables complete

thanks Julian, i will have to have a look next week end now, i have my hard top to do also, got it back from the painters at last, looks really good and i'[m pleased with it. just need to put it all back together now i have all the parts to do it with. i have bought some wax to inject also. with your instructions i'm hoping it will all go to plan, i should have done it yesterday to be honest, flu'd up though so gave it a miss another week wont matter that much
