You can but it is probably better to shop around as they are expensive in Halfords. An 072 or 069 are heavy duty types that fit (I fitted the 072)but you should check measurements to be on the safe side.

The last time i bought a battery from halfords it was one of their calcium ones. I think it came with a 4 year guarantee. It failed after 3 & half years .

I took it back and they gave me a new one complete with a new guarantee.

Play your cards right and you couls get a batery for life!!!!!

I got a 072 locally, heavy duty and sealed for life (no topping up with distilled water) for £65. Check your yellow pages for battery suppliers, they will be cheaper than Halfords or better quality for the same price

That wire is really important it is for the wife hair straighteners for use after a spirited drive in the Worcestershire countryside!

No Russ its at my mates farm , may have to wait till i get it home !the long vechile in front is a traction engine trailor, he's got about 7!.

got the carbs off will rebuild them next week in various hotel rooms!, batterys off will see if it recharges or replace, change oil, seems like the coolant was with anti freeze, but will flush once running, freed off clutch too.

the only bits of corrosion i have found is a bit in the nearside door skin and a bit round the b post , other than that looks sound, underneath will need a re application of under seal.

on another note, do you know the custom exhaust place on the wallington road think at the croydon end?
