Salt does wash off you know

Anyway, the worst that can happen is it rots and you replace the appropiate panels or weld up up the old ones.

Crikey a brave man indeed. What does the Stag handle like in snow and ice? I would have thought it would be rubbish being RWD.

RWD is MUCH easier to handle in the snow and ice than a FWD. Simply turn the steering wheel and the rear arcs round in the same direction unlike a FWD where you loose steering if its icy.

I drove our GT6 every day during last years winter. The downside compared to a modern car is the lack of air con for demisting the windscreen.

Hmmm, call me a wuss butI'd still be too scared to try it! When and ifthe white stuff reaches tropical Hampshire it will be the wife's RAV 4 for me. My FWD Skoda is hopeless in snow.

Eh?! Go back 20 years and the majority of cars were RWD. Everybody used them in the snow so nowt special about doing it these days.

No need for 4x4 unless you live in a hilly district. The trick to driving in snow is to not do any sudden acceleration or braking. Take your time and try and pre-empt what all the other nutters are going to do:shock:

Sounds like fun to me. I had a RWD car when I was travelling around New Zealand. Once you get the hang of how a car handles on a dirt road, you can fly around with the back end sliding out . Haven't tried it in snow with the Stag yet though
