    fitting a radio

I've just bought a JVC Radio/CD player for the car. Not authentic I know but want to play albums on holiday. My main concern is I don't want to fry it. I've just had a new alternator fitted and my volt gauge shows a healthy 14 nearly 15 volts. Do I need some sort of inline regulator to protect the radio or will the regulator in the alternator be doing this. Possibly the radio can cope with 14 volts even though it's labelled as a 12 volt unit. Any advice would be gratefully accepted

I'm sure it will be fine , all cars should produce 14 to 15 volts when running its just that most modern vehicles don't have volt meters these days!
