    Hi

I've been lurking as a guest for a little while.
I bought my Stag a month or so ago and she's in need of some TLC. She's been restored before but the tin worm has been allowed to become resident in several panels so to save problems in the future, a strip down has been started.

Anyway, I hope members will advise as necessary and I hope to actively contribute to the forum.

welcome aboard Baz - one bonus for you is that you have Justriumph on your patch who strips down Stags for a living, so might be worth going to see Martin for a look around his Alladins cave. (no connection etc......)

    good luck with the car!!

Hi Baz, thrice welcome, if you own a Stag, this is definitely the place to be - ask away, and good luck. Martin.

          Hi Baz,

Welcome to the forum, Like your username! My Stag is therapy too, though sometimes it makes me feel like getting therapy too ;-)

Peter - Thanks. Totally Triumph isn't too far from me. At the moment I am at the stage of jotting down ideas/suggestions picked up from the forum, such as the header tank discussions, whilst I put bits of the Stag in boxes and bags.

Ian - Yes I expect frustrations. There's been one or two already but I never expected an easy ride. My Golf gives me that!

            Giles - In due course.

Welcome Baz...it would be great to see some pics of how she was when you bought her...and the strip-down / re-build too.

I'll second that As Ian says, it's good to see work on here and some of the most widely viewed threads have been about resto work.

Welcome to joining the forum - as opposed to 'lurking' - I guess you know what you're letting yourself in for (good stuff) and I hope you'll want to contribute lots as well as it sounds like you may be able to.

                Cheers

                Julian

Ps I wish I was just round the corner from Just Triumph, but then again, I'd probably end up spending even more :?

welcome Baz and enjoy your stag! beware with martin at just triumph he's a great guy but could sell snow to eskimos so when you go take your wallet!! there's no rush with stags, take your time and do things right then you wont have to go back to them later, run it and see what it REALLY needs rather than what you'd like to do and prioritise the jobs and watch the money as it's so easy (and nice)to spend on stags.had mine 5 years now and still have jobs to do over the winter.

good luck with it. regards. pete.c
