    Favourite Whiskeys?

I;m starting to appreciate a whiskey and have bought a few lately
I;ve had a black and white, a glen moray, talisker, dalwhinnie and bar the talisker have enjoyed them all.
Received a Glenfiddich in work today and thats my favourite. Lovely stuff with a little water.
If I like Glenfiddich what else would I like?

    cheers Simon

I am not a whisky drinker myself, but if you happen to ever be in Scotland, try the Clachaig Inn in Glencoe. They boast around 160 different whiskies . They have also won awards from CAMRA. (I happened to be staying at the Youth Hostel adown the road and I am quite partial to an ale or two )

One of those 'not many people know that things'.

Whiskey comes from Ireland. Whisky is similar stuff that the Scots make, almost to the same standard.

                      Try these people

                      http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/

I,v had some good whiskys from them , They will also supply you with a whisky map , that maps the whiskys into 4 different flavours SMOKY, RICH, LIGHT and DELICATE . very helpful when choosing a new brand as different aged bottles of Glenfiddich appear in each flavour sections of the map

                      Hope this helps

                      John

Ps I like the singleton too

Never gone that much on Scotch myself. Preference would be Jamiesons.

First choice though would be Russian vodka. Gorilka clear, kept in the freezer and drunk without ice or water.

Macallan 18 year old, Edradour, Glen Kenchie Deanston 17yo if you can get it and Jonnie Walker Blue and if your buying make mine a double.
What is really good is that I can buy single malt in California cheaper than you can in Scotland when I was back in September it was scary the price they charge I guess it must be all the taxes
                              Cheers Stuart
