    Hi Chris

Great clip, like you say its made television redundant with all the great footage on youtube, check out Daily Motion as well if you find Warners have disabled the sound on your favourite track on youtube.

One of my first jobs i worked on was for Air Montserrat which was were Dire Straits recorded Brothers In Arms on a custom built console designed by my boss, the actual console can be seen in this clip of The Police doing Every Little Thing Is Magic.Unfortunately Air Montserrat shut down after a hurricane in the late 80s.

i have been trying to play like chet atkins since i was fourteen , still cant do it, that was fifty years ago , he has been an inspration to me , he was not very popular with the traditional country musicians ,with going electric, with producing the everly brothers , and the late great jim reeves records , thanks for that v.mad lovely to watch and listen to .

if you like guitar music there is a chap on utube dave hartley he plays a pedal steel guitar good easy listening ,

french blue stag is nearly ready for the shiny bits , i have loads of photos, grandson is going to sort it .

One of my other guitar heros is Joe Walsh (one time Eagles guitarist). Back in about 1992 I told a friend and fellow guitarist that I would love to be able play the lead guitar solo section on Hotel California. He got me a copy of the music for that, and after many months of practice I had cracked it! It's not an easy one for me but I added it to my repertoire, andstill occasionally practice that to this day. Greatway to unwind

The end of Another Brick In The Wall with Gilmours guitar at theend, no matter how many times i hear it still sounds great.Always reminds me of New Years Eve 1979,it was number 1 and it got played about 10 times on the jukebox that night,31 years ago, spooky.

For me it was mostly music up to the late 60s (showing my age now). I seem to have missed out on a lot of stuff from about 1972 onwards. Work, marriage, more work, then kids etc, I just blanked out with the stress of it all. But now that marriage is a distant memory, the kids are grown up and fantastic, and no boss to stress about (not even the new wife), Ihave more time and I am beginning to rekindle the music thing. And of course Ihave youtube to help me with thecatch up.

i,m still locked into the 60's i love the clean sound ofa fender strat, you may think 'm a bit of a saddo as i love playing the shadows music i have a number of backing tracks that i play to from apache right through to the present, the sixties were the best for music for me , the stones , the yardbirds, john mayallthe hollies ,thats just the english bands , in the sixties i played in a group when i was in the forces stationed in london , and we were offered todo the warm up for the moody blues on there tour in 66, but werent able as we were in thearmy , i love playing i find it a good stress reliever, two of my fingers on my left hand have curled up and have made it hard to play normal ,so i bought a resonater guitar , which is played on your lap with a steel bar , a bit of a challenge but i can still make a noise ,its good to know there are musicians on here as well as petrol heads lol
