Petrol Leaking when filled!!

Just put some fuel in and noticed at the end that fuel was dripping down from underneath. I opened the boot and theres fuel by where the filler pipe is on the carpet

The leaking fuel stopped not long after I stopped pumping it

Am I right in assuming that its leaking from the pipe that runs from tank to filler cap? Is this a common problem? I can;t have a proper look till later

Are they difficult to replace?

certainly sounds like the filler pipe that is leaking - while investigating it will be worth checking that the sender housing isn't leaking, the breather pipes are all good and the blanking pipe (used for fuel return when the tank is in a PI) hasn't perished - they can all give up with time.

there easy to replace two hose clips one top by filler cap and one by fuel tank

and one small hose clip by upper vent pipe

my pipe has arrived already!!

is there any secrets to fitting this or is it pretty straightforward through the boot area?

Now I;ve stripped everything from the boot I can see the pipe leaks generally with drips of petrol at the bottom of the pipe

no special steps, only thing i'd suggest is to avoid having a smoke whilst doing it
