choke cable

I know the UK choke cable is the only available replacement, one of my cables broke, I have a USA type which locks into positiion does the UK cable do the same i.e. when pulled out about half way you can turn it and it will stay locked in that position untill released. The replacement I bought seems to be a straight pull out type I just want to check before I fit it.

Hi Stuart, all the ones I've seen are the twist lock type, does the stem at the knob end have a groove in it? if so then it is twist lock. Martin.

On a closer look I found the problem the pull rod was 180 out it locks up fine.
