Hiya Steve, I can't believe the co-incidence, right now I'm organising a Jersey trip to join in the Jersey Festival of Transport, we're sailing on the fast car ferry, from Poole on June 2nd for 5 nights, some may stay longer, you're more than welcome to join us. It promises to be a cracking break.
If you're interested, let me know and I'll let you have the info. Cheers, Martin.

Steve, It is a lovely place, we went a few years ago and hopefully will be going again in the summer. last time we stayed at a place called Booley Bay (I think the spellings right) on the far side of the Island. there was nothing there other than the Hotel (Literally) on the edge of the bay. we didn't bother with a hire car and just used the bus service and taxis to get around.
Ian.

We took the Stag across on the seacat from Poole a couple of years ago and stayed at the Beachcomers Hotel, La Rue A Don, Grouville.booked it all through Condor Ferries. http://www.condorferries.co.uk/home.html
Hire cars are fairly cheap in Jersey and some of the hotels/guest houses/B&B do a special deal with a car included.
It is a lovely place to chill out and enjoy the scenery.

Will do might even get some biscuits...looking forward to tomorrow.
My First long run in my Stag was from North Wales to Jersey and back in 1996. Used the "Slow" Ferry from Weymouth and stayed in a B&B in St.Helier and from there toured all over the Island in the Stag. Car never put a foot wrong and I averaged 25Mpg (BW65 Auto model).
Below are a couple of pics I took there at the time.
