rimmers wrong part??????

Hi

Help.Just received part number 714538 r/h/outrigger front and it is only about 60% in lenght then the original. Have they sent right part?. Anyone used this part from rimmers.

checked their site and that part no is def the r/h o/rigger if its to short then its wrong ,never used their outrigers but all i have used from other sources like robsport been fine .ring them they are quite keen to sort out these issues and thay watch this forum so im sure they will help out.

Hi Steve

I think its me, fill very silly. I made the mistake of thinking the outriger which runs under front seat area was the front one but on checking again this is the rear outrigger. Allways check and not just order. I order a rear one now more expence. (Sorry Rimmers)

Idisagree some what, they may sort out some people but not all of them. On two occasions, when I was new on this forum,I ordered parts and they were the wrong ones sent, ok I admit the third time I ordered the wrong parts, due to changing the online parts catalogue screen to that of the TR 7 or Landrover parts screen by mistake and ordering the wrong parts.

Theywere very quick in pointing out my mistake but no mention was made of sending back and replacing themin the same breath and call,...

I still have the parts lying around............................................ .

Sukh.

P.s. They can watch all they want, they used to be very rude, don't know about now to be fair.

i do not live far from rimmer bros. i live in grimsby and they are in lincoln. its about 45 miles or so . i have needed some body panels of late for my stag so i have gone and got them over the counter.the parts have been no more expensive than other suppliers and the staff behind the counter and very helpfull and have a vast knowledge . i will be going again tomorrow to get some bushes for the rear end and a rear end bolt set. i will admit to not buying the big rear suspension bush from them . i got two of ebay for £28.00 plus postage .the same bushes from rimmers were £20.00 each .

so far i cannot fault there goods or there service

Ordered some bits between Xmas and NY for my interior refurb and was amazed how quick they arrived! Good service... and I had to laugh when I see the same bits second hand going for more on fleabay!
