Don't know if you can see this, but the grain is pretty good too. A little smaller scale on the new stuff, but pretty good.

(The New material was bought for a Breeze Breaker that is being made for me with the right colour Tonneau cover, I just ordered too much!)

Yeah, that Aldridge colour match looks a lot better now.

I love the original beige (74) and was on a mission to make my whole interior look as good and as original as possible. Havinggot 5 front seats :shock:for mine (to use bits of material to make two good ones) I was almost at the point of having enough good, correctly colouredmaterialto do the job when, after pestering Aldridges, Paddocks and Rimmers, Graham at Paddocks suddenly discovered an original roll of material that he'd forgotten about for years

Now I see that Drew has got to spend the best part of £2000 to redo his interior it makes me feel happy about all the work I've put in to it and although it hasn't cost me too much I reckon I've probably spent about 2000 hours on it instead (LOL) butI still haven't finished yet:shock:

Is the Aldridge Ambla from the roll foam-backed?

Hi Drew,

The sample I got from Aldridges and the material I got from Paddocks wasn't foam backed.

It's got a material backing under the plastic but it is just like the material from the seats or door cards. The only material I've found that is different was that which I cut off the armrests (as described above) and that was pure, semi-rigid, plastic.
