    Electric Door Mirrors.

    For a while now I've been looking at electric door mirror options for the Stag, they used to be available as an after market accessory but seem to have vanished. Jag XJ/S ones may fit but I have no clue about the wiring. Can anyone help with advice / instructions / opinions / options please ? Martin.

      The US spec manual remote mirrors look much better.

      Fitted to a few 70's Jags, as well as the US Export Stag....but also AMC Cars in the US. Search 'AMC Mirrors' in ebay USA.

      I made mine up, both offside and nearside, from a combination of AMC mirrors and internal joysticks/bezels from XJS manual mirror Jags.

          just remebered that this place had a set of Jag mirrrors in stock when i went past a month or so ago whilst out on the bike doing the knowledge

          They were new and the type you get on the XJ6 coupes from the 70's and very similar to the ones on US spec Stags

            Martin;

            I fitted Jaguar electric door mirrors to my Stag during it`s restoration, and shouldbe able to give you details of how I wired them up, once I locate the circuit diagram!!

            I personally do not think they look too big for the car, the bigger area you can see behind you the better.

            If you decide to fit some you will need the XJS ones and not the XJ6 ones, the angle of the door is different.

            Advantages - none really, unless you let the wife drive it, but it is nice to be bit different.

            Will take some photos of mine and send to you so you can make your own mind up if they suit the car.

              That's very kind of you mate, thank you. I've seen them fitted to the Monarch green Stag and they look good. I like them adjusted differently for every day driving and for motorways so well worth having. Thanks again, Martin.

                  That looks good, if only I could get hold of them. Had a look at AMC and nothing available except replacemant glass. Martin.
