      - and leather, and a Rover 2000 colour - and the fact that the seller looks like a crook, 1981 ? It's a sneaky dealer, I'd bet on it. Martin.

Needs to be checked out "in the flesh", they always look good in pics, also one thing I have learnt on this forum, which should be the norm when checking out a Stag is a HGF test (Rad water type).

Im sure someone on the forum used to have a Stag in a similar colour, perhaps the same car as it is an unusual colour.

The seller says he is a dealer lads.

The seats are shot to bits and need re-foaming.

I've seen the car - there can't be two in that colour, and it is in Northants but I don't know it. Piscean, you're right of course, he states he's a dealer, didn't notice that. Smacks of a ringer in my opinion, perhaps I'll go and have a look.

That one sold on Pistonheads a year or two back - couldn't forget that colour. It had the Stag motif on the front wings then as well. ISTR that the same seller, back then, had two for sale - His and Hers. The other was blue.

I should think the 'private' plate was edited out as it may have been worth more than the Stag and potential buyers may have thought it was included.

                      I like the colour

But hang about - funny door catches on a mk2 :?

Could this be the very first mk2 ringer?

The door catches and the instrument dashboard point to it being of a similar age to mine i.e. an early Mk2 (or Mk 1.5 as some call it). The later door catches and hazard warning lights didn't come in until approx LD30000 onwards, from late 1973.

As for the 1980 model and reg date 1981, this could refer to it being re-imported. Or a faux pas by the seller.
