    What a lovely day!

How was it for you? As good as it was for me, I hope.
The first day I felt brave enough to take advantage of a bit of sunshine. My Stag on the drive way, both doors wide open, now there's room to actually achieve something that can't be done in the garage.
    Work done:
:Front and rear chrome (stainless?) light panel surrounds fitted, glued where necessary, and 'grouted' with dum dum.
:Attempted to fit door top seals to hood frame channels, see sketch, I assume 'B' should be inside of car? Awaiting confirmation before continuing.
:Adjusted hood frame position to suit seals.
:Renewed vinyl trim to rear seat back support bar and water gulley surrounds.
:Re trimmed the top section of both cubby panels.
    Feeling rather pleased with myself.
Feeling less pleased that the window frames in the doors or maybe both entire doors have to be raised to achieve a flush top edge with the top of the 'B' Post. All my gaps are parallel and I recall that the window frame was adjusted to as high as was allowed. Hmmm.
That going to have to wait for another good day.

    Regard

Oh yes, I forgot to ask, the unsupported section of seal that hangs out of the rear of the aluminium channel, over the 'B' post, should it just hang free?

No sir, leave a quarter of an inch for shrinkage and cut it off. Sorry, but the sticky out bit is on the outside, and the seal should lean slightly in, the way you have it the door may be difficult to shut. Don't forget to re-crimp the ally channel at the back or it'll move about. Good luck, Martin. PS, I used Swarfega, made it much easier, Waxoyl would do the same.

Yep, gorgeous day here too, no work on the Stag though as I'd promised 'er indoors I'd help her with the garden, still, brownie points scored

          Martin,

Right, so the seal doesn't pass back over the 'B' post, good, I thought it looked a bit too squashed and made closing of the hood frame on the windscreen latches a bit of a struggle. The hood now pass over easily and seats down to the level of the window frame, does this mean that I don't have to raise the frames?

What does seal the top of the 'B' Post from wind and water ingress?

You might know this as well, see attached photo. What is the purpose of the rivet sized hole in the angled piece of the hood section shown? It is now currently covered by the Velcro covering which is glued into place.

Hi John, the seal should tun the length of the aluminium channel, and the B post is covered by the hood. I'm sorry but I don't recognise the whereabouts of your picture, I'm sure Chris does though. And no, it looks like you don't have to muck about with the window frame. Martin.

Ah, I see now, that's the top of the B post, the hole is one of two that hold the HRW contact cover on. M.

                Martin,
Wrong hole! Look due south of the obvious hole in the black angled piece, hang on I'll find another picture... here it is a more side on view. Remember I said it would be eventually be covered by the Velcro trim.

Isn't that the hole the plastic frameguard pop rivits to? - Alan

                          Alan,
The two plastic frame guards fit to the underside and sandwiched between of the two 'door top' hood sections the two relative aluminium seal channels, and pop riveted into place. Nothing to do with this hole however.
