Broken it Again

Had to take the Stag to Faversham today. As I backed out of the garage I didnt notice that the mains lead of my piller (or should that be pillock) drill had dropped behind the front bumper. The drill fell of the shelf straight onto the front of the Stag Luckily the bulk of the weight landed on the chrome trim. I am going to have a go at repairing it myself but now have to eat humble pie to Steve (Revbra) who dropped a vacuum cleaner on the same place last year and has been teased unmecifully by me ever since.

Sounds like you got away lightly there , could have been far worse

I think you're right. If only I had driven faster it might have missed altogether. Haven't loked at the drill yet

reminds me of years ago - my father has tons of stuff in his garage and used to hang the lawn mower on the garage wall! (dont ask), anyway one day it fell off and landed on the bootlid of his classic Daimler! I came out of the house just in time to see the lawn mower exiting the garage at about head height and smash itself to bits on the drive - he was not happy!!! The impressive bit is that it was quite a large rotary petrol mower so must have taken some throwing!!

Garages are always a mine field. About 11 years back I was offshore and my wife picked up our brand new Astra 20i Sport Estate in pearlesant black with cracking alloys, bought to accomodate the kids, prams etc etc. Well chuffed I should have been. Unfortunately my wife decided that being a new car she would put it in the garage to keep it nice and clean for me coming home. Bad move, the kids decided that they wanted their swing ball set that evening, which was positioned directly above the car in the roof rafters. Needless to say they let it drop, heavy, sharp side, that goes into the ground made quite a nice dent in the roof, don't you just love them when their little LOL LOL
