Message for Moderators

Hi,

Tried to post for a second time and see I am still on moderators watch!

I don't know why you feel you have to moderate every single post and I have never come accross this approach on any other forum but the delay you create means that the post comes so out of sequence that no one actual sees it. At least I assume that is why nobody has welcomed someone new to the group - have to say that is the first time that has happened as well.

If posts are going to be put on with such a delay that no one reads them then there seems little point in giving someone the right to post and if your intention is to impress so much I will want to join your group perhaps this is the wrong way to go about it.

I have to say I have never complained to a moderator before but not sure how else to get some understanding of how you are running your forum for potential new owners.

to be honest, I am pretty sure it's a bug as it happened to me too a couple of days ago.

To be honest #2: if you think that the moderators are checking every post to see if it is allowed, do you think they would have let your one above get through?

You might like to know that, on the Forum intro page there is a link which says "Forum Leaders". You will find there all of the possibilities to send pm's and eMails to administrators / moderators to solve this bug or explain it at least.

Although I appreciate your frustration, it's perhaps not great publicity for yourself as a trial user with 2 posts to have publicly announced the above without writing to the Moderator or admin first.

Hope your problem can be solved and normality can return soon.

Look at my White/Blue Bavarian thread and you will find info on some of hte restoration stuff that can be done and also some on prices, although my resto is perhaps a bit OTT

I'm not a mod, but we have just swapped to this new forum software, i think the mods are a little busy with various teething problems

I'm sure one will be along soon.

Hi Keith and welcome although I'm sorry to see that you seem to be having problems.

I've been on here for nearly two years and have hardly ever seen any interference whatsoever from moderators or the like so I would have thought the problems are something else.

You may be aware that this forum has only just changed to Vbulletin and I know the administrators have been really, really busy getting it up and running so maybe that's it.

Fingers crossed that things get sorted for you soon.

Hi Keith as the other guys have said new system and everyone including moderators trying to fine tune it. There are no hidden agendas on here that I have any knowledge about and no one would be so rude as to hold back your posts. Don't get dispondent all is well on this forum. Hi Keith
Let me explain the reasoning behind the post moderation for trial users. The forum is for members of the Stag Owners Club and by restricting it to members we can have full insurance cover for any libel action against the club caused by comments made on the forum. To allow non members a 30 day trial of the forum and maintain the insurance cover is is necessary to moderate the posts.
This forum is run by members of the club (all volunteers ) for the benefit of club members. Please be patient as we cannot be on here all the time.

You should have received two e-mails during your registration, the second welcoming you to the forum

Sorry you have not had a good experience yet, but the vBulletin is new, and some new procedures are being trialled; I am sure your feedback will be considered.

The delay seems a bit odd to me, but it does state this in the 'Rules, Guidance and announcements' section of the forum.

Indeed I was frustrated as the message I got was it wouldn't be posted until approved by a moderator, couldn't understand why as not had that before and I was keen to get some advice

before potentialy making a fool hardy choice.

Please accept my apologies I am a nice guy really!!
