Having nothing better to do yesterday (well, actually I did) I put the thread sizes and their occurrences per application based on the Workshop Manual into a table.
Why did I do this?
Especially after a paint job, but also when bolts and threaded holes are a bit rusty, it helps to "chase" them with a tap or die. Well, as imperial taps and dies are becoming ever rarer, I wanted to know what sizes to stock up on based on how many applications they occur in. It's not the actual number of bolts, but the number of "applications". 'Clutch to flywheel' for example is one application.
