To say that I am un-impresssed about my totally legitimate thread being moved is an understatement Seeing as several of the postings have now been "censored" why did the thread still get moved?

Same here thats my last post and I will not me renewing my membership, obviously the club is more interested in protecting dubious suppliers than it is its members. I believe that as a member of the SOC I should be able to advise other members if I have had poor quality or service from a supplier. Cheers guys thanks for the help and banter enjoy your new and censored forum.

Dave, it is not a matter of the club protecting suppliers (why would they?) it is a matter of protecting the club and forum from litigation. This a real issue, not just an imaginary one.
I am sure we can all continue to discuss which suppliers we prefer and which we don't, but we have to be sensible about how far we go. I am sure you will find any other forum run by a major club eg 'Triumph Torque' has to abide by similar rules.
Hi Folks...been reading this unfolding drama with interest. I hope we're not going to get all confrontational again because we seem to have made a new start and that was really refreshing.
That said... I did have a little trawl through the internet and found this link. http://ezinearticles.com/?Can-You-Be...ms?&id=2383002
Ok it's in the USA but it does highlight a worrying trend.

Hi Dave
Good find--------------------- It's not only in America. one of the major clubs in the UK a few years ago had significant problems--------------This is why we have to have Moderation and Insurance.

I have always advocated that any critcism of a product or service is acceptable if it is strictly factual. I think sharing information about products/suppliers is an important part of being in a club, but we have to be careful on the forum as it is public.
I hope we can continue to share information on here provided that we are purely factual, and 'balanced'. And no vendettas. What do the administrators think?
