Attached pics don't display?

Could anyone who is having the problem that an attached file just shows:

(ATTACH)8623(/ATTACH)

and is displayed as:

Attachment 8623

rather than a pic, try out the following:

Before uploading the problem picture, change something on it, like an actual modification, or cropping, or resizing and save it under another name. Then try the upload and see if it displays correctly.

I just had this problem and solved it that way. No matter what I did before, the forum seemed to know it was the same pic until I physically modified it, then all worked ok. Interested to see if my fix was a fluke.

These were the two photos that did not show on the battery box thread by rjahunter. They came up with the (ATTACH)8623(/ATTACH) on my preview. I just went into finepix and adjusted the sharpness, saved them under the same name, and now they are showing.

So, Drew, you seem to have found a work around, but why do we have to do that?

I found the same when I was testing, sometimes making the pic artificially bigger worked which is odd. It does seem the forum software takes a dislike to some pics and then any change seems to make it accept them. Odd though as vbulletin is quite a mature system.
