    Seat diaphram

    Hi,

Has anyone bought a seat diaphram from James Paddock? They seem to cost half the price of other suppliers, just wondering what the quality is like.

    Cheers

yes, just tricky getting a grip to stretch it - long nose pliers I found worked

Fit a hook to the diaphram. Loop a piece of strong twine round it and pull on the twine. Gives you good purchase and less chance of slipping.

I have refoamed the seats of our GT6 this weekend and I found using Tie-wraps better than hog clips. You can loop all the tie wraps through the cover and onto the frame. Then gradually tighten them all up. Once you are happy with the tighteness of the cover, snip off the tail of each tie wrap and hey presto.

yes I agree tie wraps are a good idea - why didn't i think of that - but don't buy any until you get the diaphram - the holes are quite small so you will be limited on the size of the tie wrap. It might also be worth drilling a few extra holes in the seat frame so that you can fit extra tie wraps.
