Well impressed with both. Yesterday afternoon at 2pm I ordered a set of top and bottom gaskets from one and a new oil pump from the other. Just arrived home from work and both were delivered today.
Ok both are straight forward items, but when you want a part it doesn't matter if it's a nut or a gearbox, if you want it and don't have it it can annoy the snot out you that you can't progress.
We can be quick to criticise when things go wrong, so if anyone from those businesses is reading forum posts and I know RB do sometimes, well done chaps.

I have recently had some great customer service from LD Part. Issues were around relatively small item, but resolution well beyond what I expected.

As some of you may know I have never been Rimmers biggest fan but yesterday I ordered a water pump removal tool, imagine my surprise when it arrived to day well done Rimmers .But imagine my disappointment when I opened the package to find a bolt with a washer welded to it .didn’t look like that in the picture

If you don`t need anything machanical, electrical, body panels and trim and interior trim then rimmers is the place to many bad experiences from them.

i always get excellent service from Rimmer Bros.of course it helps living near to them and being able to pop in and buy what you need.you can sometimes be waiting a while to get served . but there is plenty to look at while you wait or make yourself a cup of tea which they provide. they currently have a stag shell for sale in the showroom that needs a little work but it doesn't look too bad.

There are two tools available from Rimmers at £8.75 or £47.50.

The one you were seemingly expecting is the expensive one which is out of stock. Perhaps Rimmers then sent you the cheap one as an alternative. I'm sure they will have refunded the difference if you examine the receipt.

Glad to hear your representation is working, then. To be fair to all, feel free to use my comments if you think an encouraging pat on their backs would help.

I've ordered from you before and I'll admit, the service wasn't this quick, so I'd agree with your comments that there has been an improvement. It's good to see and as you're service is now so rapid, you'd be my choice if I needed a part in a hurry as in my experience nobody else has matched that speed of service.

Peter's delivery service is amazing. I know he says he is only as good as the post office but I reckon he must have a direct line to the Postmaster General or whoever is in charge these days

I have had probably 30 deliveries from him. Of those, only three didn't appear to arrive the next morning. I say appear - let me expand.

Delivery number 1: That evening, my next door neighbour (who just happens to be my son, so same surname!) came round to give me my LDparts package that the postman had delivered to him by mistake.

Delivery number 2: Post arrived about 10.30 and my expected LDparts package wasn't there. At 12.30 I went outside to see the postman coming down my track explaining that he was on his way back to the depot at the end of his round when he realised he hadn't dropped off my package.

Delivery number 3 (yesterday): Post arrived about 10.30 and my expected LDparts package wasn't there. Went out to do some work in my shed and, on returning, saw a package outside the front door. Once again, postie had come back to deliver something he'd forgotten first time round.

So, 100% success for LDparts and I'm even pleased with my postman for making the effort to come back, even though it was his mistake originally.
