Lower Steering Column

quick question are the lower steering column uj replaceable if so where can they be brought i would rather rebuild than scrap

If you have one with a small amount of play in it try pinching it up in a large vice and using motorcycle chain lube to re grease it.

this can extend it's life for a while.

So did I but it didn't look do-able as it was all peened together,so bit the bullet and bought one ,it is a safety critical part after all so proberbly not worth the risk.

Hi, I understand your desire for originality but I don't believe you'll be able to get a new joint, also, dressing out and re peening on such a small joint would be asking for trouble. I have to agree with Stagdad, sorry mate. Martin.

the answer to your original question is.... there are no replacement uj's available to rebuild it yourself - hence the suggestions you received.

If you do find a cost-effective way to do it yourself then it would be interesting to know the approach you took
